IT Support Manager – Croydon

ROLE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

To assist in the day to day supervision of IT support services across the Hurley Palmer Flatt group of companies

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise directly with our Managed Service Provider to ensure that the highest standard of service delivery is provided, reporting on performance and highlighting areas of improvement
  • Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and vendors, obtaining competitive quotes and making recommendations where necessary
  • Assist with the procurement of hardware and software, ensuring that purchase orders are prepared for approval and that software renewals are processed ahead of time
  • Coordinate essential maintenance with the MSP, providing clear communications to the effected operation(s)
  • New starters/leavers – liaise with line managers and Human Resources to ensure all IT related items are delivered on time and accurately
  • Assist with IT projects, working with the MSP on information gathering, planning and execution
  • Coordinate asset management, following company policy to responsibly and securely dispose of equipment that’s no longer needed or useful
  • Manage the backup of company data, ensuring that recovery is regularly tested, and any issues are raised and addressed
  • Review and manage mobile phones and tablets, keeping records up to date and monitoring usage
  • Where necessary, provide support and education around new technology adoption
  • Ensure that company IT policies are adhered to

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly organised with acute attention to detail
  • At least five years of working in (or with) a Managed Service environment using ITIL
  • Broad knowledge of IT technologies, architecture and infrastructure
  • Understanding of IT project lifecycle and methodologies, such as AGILE or PRINCE2
  • Familiarity of cloud computing services, such as Microsoft Azure

The role will be based in our Central Croydon office, but the role requires you to be able to travel to our London Blackfriars office, depending on the needs of the business.
