Lifetime Optimisation – putting people first at every stage of the building lifecycle (Part of Green Sky Thinking 2018)

We will outline how Hurley Palmer Flatt’s unique approach will help to quantify benefits for the occupiers, highlight potential issues that can arise by stakeholders joining at different stages of the project lifecycle and the ability to approach projects from multiple perspectives rather than engineering alone. A panel discussion will follow with guests from stakeholders from different stages of a building lifecycle to debate what can we do to make buildings work for people.

Smart Buildings: Smart Tech: Smart Space (part of BCO Annual Conference 2018)

Smart buildings have huge potential, they can adapt and improve wellbeing – becoming powerful tools to support diversity in the workplace.
Future work environments will have to compete to attract the next generation into the workplace and smart tech can, and will, support this. Buildings will become a digital asset with the IoT (Internet of Things) we must understand, adopt and change to realise fully the potential.
Big data and analytics from the endpoints in buildings will transform our space and how we use it, we can capitalise on the end products of increased efficiency and agility.
Presenters: Paul Flatt, Emma MacLeod, Isabel Cashman, and Karen Jackson.
Date:  23 – 25 May 2018
