IET Innovation Awards – Finalist

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) distinctive Innovation award celebrate the very best in new innovations in science, engineering and technology showcasing entries from around the world. This year our Energy Consultant, Callum Rae, has been shortlisted for an IET Innovation Awards in the category Model Based Engineering. The Model-Based Engineering Award recognises projects, at any stage of development, where modelling and simulation have been used in the design, implementation and test of products and innovative embedded systems.  Callum Rae based his modelling approach on the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre project, which looked at developing support on the design of on-site Energy Centres, which are increasingly being used to supply buildings (or more commonly groups of buildings) with heating, cooling and power. We are proud of Callum Rae’s achievement for this project and would like to wish him the best of luck and congratulations for making the final five. The winner will be announced at the ceremony at The Brewery, London on the 14th of November, we would like to wish all the nominee’s Good luck.
