HDR | Hurley Palmer Flatt was engaged to provide building services consulting engineering. This included Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection and Hydraulic Services. We also completed the Building Council of Australia (BCA) Section J assessment. In addition, we designed and managed the power upgrade to the site.
The works improved the quality and size of the facilities on offer to the students, including Technology and Applied Studies (TAS), music rooms, art rooms, library and general learning areas. In addition, the development provides a roofed outdoor area that could be used for functions.
- WiFi and AV was rolled out across the facility to align with the schools use of technology as a teaching aid
- Solar was installed on the roof of the new facility
- Natural ventilation was implemented in part of the development as a means of energy savings
