Dundee Station Upgrade

As part of Dundee City’s £1 billion transformation of the waterfront, plans have been approved to develop the existing station including a new hotel and office accommodation. We carried out the role of independent E&P and Mechanical Building Services Design checker with the following services a resume of our general duties and scope of works.

  • Review of Jacobs proposals for their RIBA stage D documents and gap analysis of missing information.
  • Liaising with asset owners for HV/LV, station power, lifts and escalators, gas and water supplies, fire alarm and IDR review for all affected disciplines (civils, telecoms, plant, signalling).
  • Review of First Scotrail’s landlord consent issues on behalf of Network Rail Asset Engineer in terms of Forms EA, EB, etc or new equivalent and the alterations to the goods lift to make DDA compliant.
  • Review of any enabling work method statements, plant replacement and future proof for final changeovers and fire strategy for enabling and final works.
